Free Alarm Clock is a simple software program that gives your PC an alarm clock function.
Simple to Use and Packed With Convenient Features
One function that many Windows PC users wish they had on their computer would be an alarm clock like on mobile phones. Free Alarm Clock can accomplish just that. It's a simple and free program, yet offers a variety of customization functions that makes it very convenient.
You can set an alarm to go off at a specific time of the day and choose from one of the several preset alarm sounds, in addition to having the possibility of using one of your own audio files. Free Alarm Clock lets you set several alarms that go off at times that you specify. You can also set the alarms to only be active on certain days of the week. Each alarm you set can be given its own label and message that will be displayed when it goes off.
There are plenty of other features in Free Alarm Clock that makes it more powerful compare to other free alarm applications for Windows. You can set the alarm to play a random audio file from a directory, wake up the computer from sleep mode, turn on the monitor and even launch an application or access a website URL instead of playing an audio file. There's a slider to set the volume of the alarm sound or song.
The most recent version of Free Alarm Clock gives you several options to further customize how the program works. You can set the chosen alarm sound to play just once when its time comes along or have it loop until you dismiss it. Just like with actual alarm clocks, there is a snooze function that can be used. In the alarm settings, you can set how long the snooze function lasts from, which can be anywhere from 1 to 10 minutes.
A Very Good Alarm Application With Few Drawbacks
The user interface is simple to use, so you shouldn't have too much trouble figuring out how everything works. There's a simple user guide included that explains how each function works and what it does. The updated version of Free Alarm Clock now supports changing the language of the user interface to multiple other languages besides English, such as Spanish, Romanian, Czech, Arabic and Simplified Chinese.
Overall the program works quite well and comes with several bug fixes that corrected issues reported in previous versions. The only small problems that were reported by users include a few user interface glitches, such as the alarm notification box taking a few seconds to appear after the alarm starts playing, but there's nothing wrong that breaks the functionality of the program.

With Free Alarm Clock, you can now set up an alarm clock on your computer that will operate the same way the alarm function on your phone or a traditional alarm clock does.
How many times have you found yourself browsing the web and suddenly looked up to find that hours passed? You might think that you'll read a few threads on Reddit or check out your friends and family on Facebook. The next thing you know, an hour went by and you accomplished nothing. This is especially true of those who browse Wikipedia because they keep following links and waste more time than they planned. If you play a lot of online games, you can use Free Alarm Clock to remind you of when to take breaks too.
Though it has a pretty basic design, that design makes it easier to use. You set the time that you want the alarm to go off, and you can decide how often you want that alarm to repeat. The program gives you the option of setting a one-time alarm, once that goes off daily or one that goes off on certain days. You can adjust the label to describe the alarm and turn the sound up and down. The program gives you several alarms to choose from and offers other options like turning your monitor on when the alarm goes off or adding a snooze feature.
Another great benefit is that you can set multiple alarms at the same time. You can set up one alarm to remind you when to take your meds, when to call a friend or when to get up in the morning. Other alarms are perfect for use as reminders that you have other stuff to do during the day. You might let yourself surf the web or play a game for an hour before you do a project for work or school.
If you have sound clips on your computer that you want to use, Free Alarm Clock can even use those files to remind you of important things or to help you get up in the morning. A loop setting lets the alarm keep playing until you turn it off, and a snooze button works like the snooze button on your alarm clock to temporarily turn off the alarm. While Free Alarm Clock doesn't come with lots of new features and may not replace your existing alarm, it's a good alarm for those who spend a lot of time on their computers.
